Natalie has written a comment piece for this week’s Bionews about a recent same-sex parenting case in the family court, in which a non-birth mother was ruled to have no financial responsibility for her child because she was not a legal parent.  Highlighting the deficiencies of UK law for children conceived before the coming into force of the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 2008, the article looks at fertility law and what makes a legal parent.
