There is so much more still to do for LGBT+ parents – Article published in Bionews

Natalie has written a comment piece in this week’s Bionews about the UK Government’s plans to update the fertility screening laws, which will bring positive impact on some LGBT+ intended parents, such as female same-sex couples and HIV-positive individuals seeking to conceive. These changes aim to reduce barriers and improve equity for these groups. However, there are still several challenges to be addressed to ensure fair access to fertility treatment for all LGBT+ parents, including issues related to NHS funding and transgender fertility patients. While the government’s proposed reforms are a step in the right direction, there is more work to be done to achieve true equity for LGBT+ parents.
