Surrogacy in the USA – from the UK’s leading surrogacy lawyers
The US has been the most popular international surrogacy destination for UK parents consistently for the past 20 years, offering safe, legal and ethical surrogacy. The US also caters for every family structure, including same-sex parents, single parents and those who need the help of both egg and sperm donors.
The legal framework for surrogacy varies depending on the state in which the surrogate gives birth, but the overwhelming majority of US states recognise gestational surrogacy agreements and treat the intended parents as the child’s legal parents throughout the surrogacy process.
Our US surrogacy content hub gives free information and resources on UK legal issues for parents conceiving children through surrogacy in the USA.
