Helen Prosser (She/her)
Caring, energetic and creative, Helen is responsible for the strategy, management and direction of our business. She has over 20 years’ experience in marketing and business development in both the legal and the commercial world.
Helen works alongside the legal team and manages the business with Natalie. She drives the firm’s innovative approach, and has set up and runs our sibling organisation Brilliant Beginnings. She works with intended parents, surrogates, clinics, attorneys, agencies and professional organisations across the UK and the world but particularly in the USA.
Helen is a CEDR accreditated mediator. She was a previous member of the Board of Trustees of the National Gamete Donation Trust, a member of the HFEA National Donation Strategy Group and is one of the few international members of the American Bar Association’s Assisted Reproductive Technology committee.

It’s time to be grown up about surrogacy
Brilliant Beginnings’ Helen Prosser says that’s a gross misunderstanding. “This is no different from advances in medical treatment that give intended parents the opportunity to have IVF cycles. It is not commoditising – people wouldn’t do surrogacy if they didn’t need to.”

Helen Prosser says these battles are extremely rare. ‘There are easier ways for a surrogate to get pregnant if she wants her own baby,’ she says. ‘But the legal framework in the UK at the moment is out of date’.

“We’ve got same-sex marriage now, so it doesn’t make any sense that you wouldn’t enable surrogacy,” says Helen Prosser. Bright and energetic, she talks animatedly about the work she does.
